I recently picked up some Dologesic 4% Roll-On Liquid to deal with some nagging muscle aches and bruises from a recent workout. I applied it as instructed, and while it did numb the area, I'm not sure if it's worth the price tag. Has anyone else tried this? What are your thoughts on lidocaine topicals in general? Do they actually make a difference? I've heard horror stories about severe side effects, but also positive experiences. Where do you all fall on the spectrum?

I've used this stuff and it works really well. The roll-on makes it easy to apply, especially on hard-to-reach areas. But you're right, it's expensive so I only use it when I really need it.

Honestly, I think topicals are a bit of a gimmick. They might help in the moment, but they don’t address the underlying issue. Stretching and rest are more effective for muscle pain. Wouldn't it be worth it to put some work into physical therapy before buying this stuff?

I'm considering trying Dologesic for some chronic joint pain, but the long list of side effects is concerning. Has anyone dealt with any serious issues? It's hard to know if the benefits are worth the risk.

I think it's a good option for short-term relief, but I would not recommend it for chronic pain. For those cases, it's better to go with a more specialized treatment. Otherwise, it's fine, but I still think there are better options out there.

I'm just glad there are options for topical pain relief. It's nice to have something to turn to when over-the-counter pills aren’t enough.

I switched to a generic lidocaine cream because I couldn't justify the price of Dologesic. It works just as well and costs a fraction of the price. It's worth looking into if you're on a budget.

My doctor suggested Dologesic for a sprained ankle. It helped with the pain but I had a bit of irritation at the site of application. I'm wondering if this is normal or if I should try a different product.

I think it’s worth a shot if you have a lot of muscle tension. I use it twice a week and it's made a big difference in my recovery. Just don’t overdo it and you’ll be fine.
