I've recently started treatment with Doxorubicin Lipo 2mg/ml Inj, 25ml for my breast cancer. The drug is encapsulated in tiny fat particles called liposomes, which are supposed to help it stay in the body longer and target cancer cells more effectively. The medication has been administered intravenously, and I'm hoping to get insights from others who have also used Doxorubicin liposomal. Has anyone here experienced fewer side effects compared to regular doxorubicin? I'm curious about the effectiveness of this treatment and any tips for managing side effects. The side effects can be severe, ranging from allergic reactions and infections to bleeding and blood clots. My oncologist mentioned that the urine may turn orange or red, which is a normal side effect of this medication. Any advice from others already on this treatment would be much appreciated.

It did take some getting used to, but yeah, your urine turns red. It's weird, but your doc will prepare you for it. The other side effects are tough, though. My hands and feet got really irritated, so make sure you keep your hands and feet protected and moisturized.

Stay strong everyone. This drug is tough, but it's doing its job. Your body will take time to heal. Take lots of photos of your hair before and after, to see just how much you survived and thrived.

So, is it true that your pee turns red? That sounds freaky. I just started on it, and my doctor confirmed it, but I can't help being worried.

I was really worried about the bleeding side effects. My nurse told me to watch for any unusual bruising and report it immediately. Definitely take that seriously.

The burning sensation in my hands and feet was the worst part for me. I had to use some kind of hand cream. The nurse gave me tips on how to keep my veins from irritating, and that helped a lot.

I had a bad reaction to the regular doxorubicin, so my doctor switched me to the liposomal version. It's been a game-changer. I still get some vein irritation, but it's much better than the severe side effects I had before. Make sure to tell your nurse immediately if you notice any redness or pain at the injection site.
