I think the key is to stay in touch with your dentist and doctor. Let them know if you're experiencing any issues. If I were you, I'd get a second opinion from a periodontist just to be safe.
I've been on Doxycycline 20mg for a few months now. It's helped a lot with the inflammation in my gums. I did experience some diarrhea at first, but it got better after a while. My dentist says it's worth it for the long-term effects on gum health. Of course never drink alcohol while on it, this is a must
I had a terrible allergic reaction to this med. Swelling all over my face.
I've had no issues with diarrhea what so ever on this medication. I have had some other minor issues. You gotta stay hydrated, this one is the worst part.
