Doxycycline Monohydrate 50mg Tabs: My Experience with Side Effects and Effectiveness
I was prescribed Doxycycline Monohydrate 50mg Tabs for a severe case of acne, and while it has helped significantly, I've also experienced some side effects. I've had a few episodes of diarrhea and an upset stomach, but nothing too severe. However, I'm worried about the potential for more serious side effects. Has anyone else had issues with this medication, and if so, how did you manage them? I'm also curious about how long it typically takes for the medication to start working and how long you should expect to take it.

I took Doxycycline for chlamydia and it was a breeze. No side effects at all, but I did take it exactly as prescribed and stayed hydrated.
I had a horrible rash and itching while on this. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction. Never taking this stuff again.
I took this for malaria prevention and had no issues. Maybe it's just luck, but I felt fine the whole time.
I switched to a different antibiotic because Doxycycline made me feel terrible. Everyone's different, I guess.
I didn't have any major side effects but I did get really sensitive to the sun. Make sure to use sunscreen!
I had a bad case of CDAD. I wish I had known about the potential for serious diarrhea. Now I always read the fine print.
Doxycycline is great for acne but can mess with your gut. I found probiotics helped a lot with the side effects.
I'm on my second round of Doxycycline and this time I'm taking it with food to avoid an upset stomach. Seems to be helping!
