Hi folks, I was driving home in a rush today, and somehow my Enalaprilat prescription fell out of my bag somewhere between the pharmacy and my house. I need to figure out what I can do. Do I ask my doctor for more? Do I get a different drug? How urgent is it to have it prescribed? I was prescribed 1.25 mg/ml of it. I'm worried about the side effects as I’ve read about severe ones online. It seems like some people experience some nasty side effects. I'm really hoping others can offer some advice on the situation.

I think it's really important to take the advice of the doctor. They can prescribe you the best medicine to deal with your high blood pressure. Remember the drug can cause kidney problems, but remember that it is much worse without it!

I can't believe you lost an injection prescription. I know it's a hassle, but you should call your doctor ASAP. Maybe they can send you the prescription again, or give you some other drugs temporarily.

I'm actually surprised that you were prescribed Enalaprilat. I've heard some not-so-good stories from people who've used it in the past. I'd personally ask your doctor about alternatives, just to be safe.

I'm not an expert, but I think it's often used for folks who have high blood pressure and heart failure. Talk to your doctor, there are many other drugs out there, but you should do some research to find the best one for you.

Medication management can be a lot. I lost my meds once and my system was so out of whack. You are right to ask for advice on how to deal with this situation. Side effects can be nasty so heed your doctors advice.

I had a similar issue with injections and it was a pain, but not too hard to fix. I think you should also ask your doctor about the side effects and how you can mitigate them. Just make sure you're careful with the dosage, injections can be a pain and you don't want to get it wrong.

I know it can be a hassle, but just be safe and do what you can to get the medicine. Do not ignore this, it could be dangerous. The side effects can be serious, but it's way better to get your meds than to not be able to function.

Enalaprilat is actually a common drug for high blood pressure. You should be able to get a new prescription easily and since it's given by injection it shouldn't be too hard to handle. Just be careful with it and always check the dosage.

This isn't the first time I've seen someone lose their meds. Use this as an opportunity to get a refillable prescription, that way you don't have to get a brand new prescription each time.
