I've been taking Droxia 200mg Capsules for about a year now to manage my sickle cell anemia. It's been a game-changer in reducing the frequency of my pain crises, but I've also dealt with some side effects. I wanted to share my experience and get some insights from others who might be on the same journey.

Droxia works by increasing fetal hemoglobin, which helps prevent red blood cells from becoming sickle-shaped. This has significantly improved my quality of life, but it's important to be aware of the potential side effects.

I’ve experienced some hair loss and occasional mouth sores, which are manageable. However, I’ve also had a few episodes of feeling extremely tired and weak, which can be concerning. I know these might be symptoms of hemolytic anemia, but I haven't experienced any other signs like dark urine or yellow skin.

I just want to know if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are any tips for managing these side effects. It’s always helpful to hear from others who are going through the same thing.

I've been on Droxia for a while and have experienced skin changes. I had a small skin ulcer and had to contact my doctor immediately. They monitored it closely, but it was scary at first. It’s important to be vigilant with skin changes on this medication.

I’ve been on Droxia for about 5 years and have had no major issues. I did notice some weight gain, but my doctor said that’s a common side effect and can be managed with a good diet and exercise. It’s worth it for the reduction in pain crises.

Droxia has been great for me, but I’ve had some joint pain that can be pretty uncomfortable. I’ve been doing some light exercises to keep the joints moving, and that seems to help.

Droxia has been a blessing for me. I've had some constipation and upset stomach, but it’s manageable. I take a stool softener and it helps a lot. Plus, the reduction in pain crises is worth it.

I’ve had some really bad headaches while on Droxia. I take over-the-counter pain relievers, but it’s still tough. Anyone else experiencing this?

I started Droxia a few weeks ago and have had really bad mouth sores ever since. I’m considering stopping the medication, but my doctor wants me to stick it out. Has anyone else had this issue?

I've been on Droxia for a few months now, and I've had a similar experience with hair loss and fatigue. My doctor recommended taking it easy and staying hydrated. It seems to help.
