I've been taking Dyrenium 50mg Capsules (Triamterene) for the past few months to manage my high blood pressure and reduce swelling. Unlike some other diuretics, Triamterene helps retain potassium, which is great because I've had issues with low potassium levels in the past. However, I've been concerned about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones. I've been monitoring myself closely, but I'd love to hear from others who have experience with this medication. What side effects have you experienced? Did your doctor provide any helpful tips for managing them? How do you like your experience in general.?

I've been on Dyrenium for a couple of months now and it's been great for my blood pressure. I've had some mild side effects like fatigue and a bit of dizziness but it's a big improvement from other diuretics I've tried.

I've heard that some people have had issues with low blood cell counts while taking this medication. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm really nervous about the side effects.

I was really worried about the electrolyte imbalances, but my doctor monitored my levels closely and I haven't had any issues. I still feel very wary and nervous though. I'd love to hear more about people's experiences with monitoring these levels. What kind of tests were you given?

Be careful with this one. I had a bad reaction to Triamterene. I started getting really bad headaches when I started taking it, and it was eventually replaced with spironolactone. The only good news was that it was very fast-acting. My swelling improved right away. You will want to stick with it for a while to see if you have the same sort of reaction.

I took it for a while and it worked well, but I ended up stopping it because it made me have to go to the bathroom a lot. But I also did not have any issues with urinating. This one is definitely a bummer. I know some people who take it and they have no issues.

I'm amazed by the number of people who report experiencing very fast results with this medicine. What do you think is the reason for this?

I've been on Dyrenium for about a year now, and it's been a lifesaver for my swelling issues. I didn't experience any major side effects, just some mild dizziness at first, but that went away after a few weeks.

I've had some really good results with this along with lisinopril. I have noticed that it's easy to overdose on this medicine. It's not too obvious to people because it's so easy to get from a lot of different sources. You can get it in a lot of combination meds too. I wish they would make it a prescription only drug. I've seen too many cases where people take it thinking it's a mild diuretic and end up with pretty bad kidney issues.

I’ve tried it before and to be honest it didn’t work great for me. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I’ve never really known anyone who liked it. Maybe it’s just not my medicine or maybe I’m just sensitive to it I don’t know.

Has anyone had issues with kidney stones while taking this? My dad had a bad reaction to hydrochlorothiazide, but he's managed to avoid it so far.
