I've been using Econazole Nitrate 1% Cream for a few weeks now to treat my athlete's foot, and it's been a game-changer. My skin started to clear up in days, and the itching finally stopped. However, I've been reading about the possible side effects and I'm a bit worried. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues, or should I just keep applying the cream as directed?

I'm also curious about the red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever. Is that normal? I haven't experienced that, but it sounds scary.

The FDA side effects page has quite a list. If you have any info, please share!

I really, really don't want to have an allergic reaction.

I had hives, and then blistered skin. I thought maybe it was a piece of clothing or some thing, but then I realized it was the cream. No more for me

I wouldn't worry too much about the side effects. They're rare, and if you do experience them, just stop using the cream and talk to your doctor.

I've had great luck with this cream, but I did have some minor irritation initially. I talked to my doctor, and she said to just keep using it and be patient. The irritation went away after a few days, and the fungus cleared up.

I've seen severe reactions, don't mess with these kind of things.
