Effer-K 20meq Tablets: How has this potassium supplement been treating you? (Side effects, pros/cons etc)
I've been prescribed Effer-K 20meq Tablets to prevent kidney stones. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. What has your experience been like? Have any of you dealt with any of the side effects? Specifically, I'm thinking about diarrhea and vomiting. My doctor explained that dissolving the tablets in high amounts of water should help. Are you finding this to be the case? Do you feel the benefits outweigh any possible side effects?

I had a bad reaction to Effer-K. I got hives and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER, and it turned out I was allergic. Be careful and if you react, get help ASAP.
I haven't had any major issues with Effer-K. A bit of stomach discomfort, but nothing I can't handle. I think the benefits are worth it, especially since it helps with my kidney stones. Just make sure to follow your doctor's advice and stay hydrated.
I had to take Effer-K for a while and the side effects were brutal. Vomiting and gas all the time. I had to stop taking it. Perhaps it hasn't aged well, or maybe some people are more sensitive to it. I really hope that they update the formula.
I've been taking these for a few months, and honestly, it's been a bit rough. The diarrhea is pretty bad, and it's hard to deal with. I'm thinking about switching to a different potassium supplement. Has anyone tried anything else that works well?
I took Effer-K for a while and had no problems. I did notice that my urine was a bit darker, but not sure if that’s a side effect or not. But it's been fine for me. I have to say it's better than any other potassium supplements I've tried. It's definitely worth a try.
I think Effer-K is a good option for those who need extra potassium. I haven't had any major issues, just a bit of gas. I take it with food and stay hydrated, and it works well for me. If you're unsure, talk to your doctor about it. They know best.
I haven't had any problems with Effer-K. I think it's just a matter of finding the right balance. My doctor advised me to take it with food and it has been going smoother.
I've been on Effer-K for years and it's been fine. I mean, I get a bit of stomach upset but nothing major. Just take it with a big glass of water and you'll be fine. Side note: I've never had any issues with the color of my urine.
