I've been on Elavil for my migraines, and it's definitely helped with the frequency, but the dry mouth is brutal. I keep a water bottle with me all the time now. Thank you for sharing your experience, it helps to know I'm not alone!
For me, Elavil has been amazing for my depression and it also helped with the migraines. I would say the side effects are worth it, but I haven't seen a lot of side effects or depression related to it.
I switched from Elavil to a different medication because the side effects were too much for me, but I can see how it would be effective. I ended up finding Lyrica works much better. Do not like the weight gain side effects at all.
Elavil kept my migraines at bay, but the drowsiness was a bit annoying at first, but I've managed it by taking it right before bed. It's worth it for the pain relief.
