I've been using Eloctate 3000unit Inj for a few months now to manage my hemophilia A, and I'm curious to hear from others who might be using the same thing. How often do you have to use it and does the long-lasting effect reduce the number of injections significantly? Has anyone experienced any side effects they didn't expect? And, have you have any issues recording or reporting the unexpected ones to the FDA? I'd love to hear your stories and advice, and share any tips if I have any. For the sake of this thread, please do not recommend or discuss other hemophilia treatments and management strategies.

I've been on Eloctate for about a year now, and it's been a game-changer. I used to need injections every other day, but now I can go a week between doses. Definitely worth the switch in my opinion. The side effects are minimal and no issues with administering the injection. Just keep your doctor in the loop. In particular, document everything. It will save you time and headaches and streamline the reporting process.

I just started Eloctate, and I had a bad allergic reaction the first time I used it. I had to go to the hospital. I am going to stick with it since I don't have other options, but I am scared of it, and I am glad they cleared it to use it again.

I've heard of people having to switch to other treatments because of side effects. Be sure to consult with your doctor if you have any questions about switching, especially since you have some side effects. I think it is really important to listen to the instructions and not just the bottle. Ask questions!

This might be a silly question, but does anyone know if Eloctate can be stored at room temperature for a while, or does it need to be refrigerated all the time? I travel a lot, so knowing this would help me plan better.

My doctor told me I'll have minor headaches for a while, but definitely nothing severe. Your doctor should be able to help you find a solution for side effects.

I'm really glad to see others having good experiences with Eloctate. I'm a bit scared to start it because of the allergies, but it sounds like it's doing great things. Here’s to hoping my experience is as positive as yours!

I’ve been using Eloctate for three years, and it’s been great. I occasionally get a headache, but nothing too bad. Any other side effects should be reported immediately I think. The FDA and the team at Biogen are very good to work with.
