I've been using Emgality 120mg/ml Pre-Fill Syr 1ml for the past few months to manage my migraines, and I wanted to share my experience with this medication and get some insight from others. Emgality is a CGRP blocker that's injected once a month to help prevent migraine attacks. So far, it's helped reduce the frequency of my migraines, but I've had some side effects. For starters, it's a bit painful at the injection site, and I've had some itching and redness which can be a nuisance. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced these side effects? Secondly, I've heard that some people have had allergic reactions. I'm curious if anyone here has had a similar experience. While I understand that these side effects are rare, I want to be prepared and know the signs to look out for. Lastly, I'd love to hear some tips and tricks on how to make the injection process less painful, such as using a numbing cream or adjusting the injection technique. I'm really hoping this drug helps me and would like to know how it's worked for others

I had a severe allergic reaction to Emgality. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. I went to the ER, and they gave me steroids and antihistamines to help. I had to discontinue use. Please, please be careful and know the signs of a severe allergic reaction. If you're considering Emgality.

I've been on Emgality for about six months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. I went from having 10-12 migraine days per month to maybe 3 or 4. The injection site can sting a bit, but I use an ice pack beforehand, and this numbs the area. Highly recommend this approach!

I'm on my third month of Emgality, and I've had no side effects whatsoever. My migraines are much more manageable, and I'm so grateful for that. I hope it continues to work for me. Fingers crossed.

I've found that Emgality has really helped with my migraines, but I wish the injections weren't so painful. Any tips? I'll try the angle thing.

I hope you're feeling better! Did your doctor suggest any alternative treatments?

I had some mild side effects like nausea and constipation when I first started Emgality, but they went away after a few weeks. I think it's worth giving it a try. If you're really concerned, talk to your doctor about starting on a lower dose.

I'm glad to hear that Emgality is working for some of you, but I'm cautious about trying it because of the potential side effects. I had a bad reaction to another migraine preventative, so I'm nervous about trying something new. Has anyone else had a negative experience with Emgality?
