I've recently started taking Emtricitabine/tenof 200-300mg Tabs for PrEP and was wondering if anyone else has experienced any of the side effects mentioned. I've had some mild headaches and stomach pain, but nothing too severe. Just curious if these are common or if I should be concerned. Also, for those who have been on this medication for a while, how have you managed any long-term side effects? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been taking this for a few months and I haven't experienced any of the serious side effects mentioned, but when I started I was worried about the kidney problems. My doctor did some blood tests and monitoring. Fortunately, everything’s alright, and I feel more confident in taking it regularly. As for the vivid dreams, I've learned not to fight it and just go with it. So, in short, it’s all manageable if you take it seriously and keep monitoring your health.

I started taking Emtricitabine/tenof a while back and initially had some fatigue and dizziness, but it subsided after a few weeks. I think it's important to give your body time to adjust. Stay hydrated and make sure you're eating well. As for long-term side effects, I haven't had any major issues so far, but I do make sure to get regular check-ups with my doctor. I can't stress this enough; regular medical attention is crucial.

I've heard some scary stories about lactic acidosis. How common is this, and what should I do if I experience any symptoms?

Wow, bone pain? That sounds awful. I hope I don't get that.

I just started PrEP a few weeks ago, and I’ve had some stomach pain and diarrhea. Is this normal? Should I be worried? I tend to worry about everything, so any reassurance would be great.

I've been on this medication for a few months now and I've had some vivid dreams! But nothing too alarming.
