I've been on Emtricitabine/tenofovir 133-200mg Tabs for a few months now as part of my PrEP regimen. I've had some side effects, but nothing too serious. I'm curious to hear from others who are taking this medication. What side effects have you experienced? How long did they last? Also, how do you manage them? I've heard a lot about kidney issues, and I'm a bit worried. I've got to get regular blood tests, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any issues and what the doctor did about it? I also want to know if anyone has experienced any long-term effects. It's always good to be informed, especially when it comes to your health! I also want to know if anyone has any tips on how to stay consistent with taking the medication. I'm doing okay so far, but I know consistency is key. Any advice would be appreciated!

I find that taking the medication with a meal helps with the stomach pain, but I'm still dealing with vivid dreams. It can be a bit frustrating at times, but I'm sticking with it because I know it's effective. Has anyone else had a similar experience, and has it gotten better at all? I'm wondering if the vivid dreams will go away altogether, or if they are something I just have to deal with.

I've heard a lot of good things about this medication. It's a relief to know that it's effective in preventing HIV. I'm planning on starting it soon and I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. But I'm glad to hear that you've had a positive experience so far. I'm definitely going to keep your advice in mind about taking it with food! Also, what about the vivid dreams? How are you managing those?

I've been on this medication since the beginning of my PrEP regimen. I've had some side effects, but they were mild and manageable. I just wish more people knew about it and talked about how it's helped them out. It's really helped open up a dialog.

I've been on Emtricitabine/tenofovir for a while now, and I've had some mild side effects like headaches and stomach pain. I've been lucky enough not to experience anything severe like kidney problems. My doctor suggested taking the medication with food, which has helped a lot with the stomach pain. But I can say that consistency is key with this medication. I set a reminder on my phone to take it at the same time every day.

I've been taking Emtricitabine/tenofovir for over a year now, and I've had no major issues. I did experience some vivid dreams in the beginning, but they subsided after a few weeks. I think it's important to remember that everyone's experience is different. The key is to stay informed and communicate openly with your doctor. Regular blood tests are crucial, and if you experience any severe side effects, seek medical attention immediately. I also want to add that taking the medication at the same time every day has helped me stay consistent. Consistency is key with this medication. This medication has given me peace of mind, and I'm glad I made the decision to start it.

I took Emtricitabine/tenofovir for a while, but I had to stop because of severe headaches and dizziness. I think it's important for everyone to know that this can happen, although it's not the norm.

I'm glad I found this thread. I was thinking about starting PrEP but was worried about the side effects. Your experiences have given me a lot to consider. I'm especially interested in hearing more about the vivid dreams. How often did you experience them, and did they affect your daily life? Also, did you have any other side effects, such as nausea or fatigue? I've heard that these can be common too.
