So, I've been prescribed Endocet for some pretty intense pain, and I'm freaking out about the side effects and risks. I mean, it's got a whopping 5mg of oxycodone and 325mg of acetaminophen. That's a lot of drug power for my tired body to handle. I've heard horror stories about opioids. Should I just tough it out and avoid the risk? I'm particularly worried about the breathing problems and addiction. Does anyone have experience with this stuff? Did your doctor give you any tips to manage the side effects? How do you even know if you're experiencing something serious? Help, fellow redditors!

Yeah, the breathing problems are no joke. I had a friend who ended up in the ER because of it. Make sure you have someone with you when you take it the first time, just in case.

Oxycodone is a strong opioid, and while it can help with pain, it's important to take it exactly as prescribed, if you increase the amount, you are at a high risk for becoming addicted and hurting yourself. Please be careful!

Has anyone tried other pain meds before going to Endocet? I'm curious if there are alternatives worth considering.

Did your doctor mention naloxone? It's a medication that can reverse an opioid overdose if things go south. Might be worth asking about.

I've been on Endocet for a while now, and yeah, it's powerful stuff. But if you manage it right, it can be a lifesaver. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions to the letter. Don't mess around with the dose, and if you start feeling weird, call your doc right away.

I had a bad reaction to Endocet. Tried to tough it out, but ended up with severe constipation and confused as hell. If you start feeling like that, don't wait it out. Go to the ER.

Dizziness and sleepiness are pretty common. Just try to rest a lot and avoid driving or operating heavy machinery. Its side effects are tough to manage, but if you monitor your symptoms carefully, you should be okay.

Opioids are a serious deal. Make sure you're storing them safely and not letting them sit around. I've seen too many people get hooked because they had easy access.

Be careful with this stuff. I saw someone get really messed up on opioids. It's not worth the risk, in my opinion. I'd look into other options if possible.

Endocet can be a godsend if you're in serious pain, but it's not something to mess around with. Be smart and take care of yourself.
