I've been prescribed Enoxaparin 100mg/1ml Syr (10 X 1ml) for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prevention. I'm a bit nervous about the injections and the potential side effects. Has anyone else used this medication? What was your experience like? Any tips for making the injections less painful? Also, how did you handle any side effects that came up? I'm really hoping to get some insights and advice from others who have gone through this.

I've found that using the smallest needle possible helps a lot with the pain. Also, make sure to pinch the skin at the injection site and inject at a 90-degree angle. This can help reduce discomfort and bruising.

I had some issues with DVT too and it's been hell getting the injections daily. The worst part is not the actual injection (it's just a pinch) but remembering to do it every day. I set an alarm on my phone to remind me.

I've been on this for a few months now and it's definitely a hassle, but it's worth it to prevent a pulmonary embolism. Just make sure to follow all the instructions from your doctor closely.

I was really scared about the side effects too—especially the bleeding ones—but I haven't had any major issues. Just some minor bruising and a bit of irritation at the injection site. Your doc should be able to help if you experience anything more serious.

I had some really bad bruising at the injection sites. If you're experiencing this, try alternating injection sites and maybe even apply some gentle pressure after injecting. It also helps to make sure the needle is fully inserted.

I've heard that some people use a bit of ice before and after the injection to help with the pain and bruising. Has anyone tried this? I might give it a shot next time.

A couple of weeks ago, I got some really bad headaches while on Enoxaparin. I contacted my doctor, and they had me switch to a different medication. Definitely don't ignore any serious symptoms.

I've been on Enoxaparin for a while now, and honestly, the injections are a bit of a bear. I use a small amount of lidocaine at the injection site to numb it before I inject. It really helps with the pain. Just make sure to give it a few minutes to kick in.

Seriously, the side effects are scary. I got hives the first time I used it. Switched to Heparin and that issue went away.
