I was prescribed Enoxaparin 60mg/0.6ml Syr(10x0.6ml) after a recent surgery to prevent blood clots. It's been a bit of an adjustment, as it requires daily injections under the skin in the stomach area. I've had some mild side effects like irritation at the injection site, but nothing too severe. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or any tips for making the injections less painful? Also, has anyone experienced any serious side effects like allergic reactions or neurological symptoms?

That's why it's so important to keep an open line of communication with your doctor. I've been pretty lucky with my injections, though I have had them a few times in the same spot which is a bit sensitive at the moment. I'm just grateful to be healing.

Side effects are tough to handle. I had a bad experience with blood clots in my leg after a long flight. I was really scared. Enoxaparin seemed to help a lot but I did have some crazy bruising at the injection sites. Has anyone else had trouble with bruising? I'm curious what doctors tell others vs. what they tell me.

I had a similar experience after my knee surgery. My doctor told me that if I notice any signs of an allergic reaction, like swelling or trouble breathing, I should go to the ER right away. It's scary to think about, but better to be safe.

Ouch, I hate needles. Good to know about the numbing cream. Thanks!

Dizziness is the worst!

I've been on Enoxaparin for a few weeks now, and the injections are definitely a hassle but manageable. I use numbing cream before injecting, which helps a lot. Just make sure to rotate the injection sites and keep them clean to avoid irritation!

I'm just thankful for this medication. It's a bit of a pain, but it's better than dealing with blood clots. I've had to deal with confusion and dizziness, though. It's a long way to go for recovery.
