I've been prescribed Enoxaparin for a recent condition, and I'm curious about the experiences of others. How intense can the injection site reactions be, and how do they compare to the serious side effects?Should I be more worried about bleeding or allergic reactions? How does this medication compare to other anticoagulants, and does anyone have tips for self-injection? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and advice!

I get nervous about giving myself injections, but it's just part of the deal. Make sure you have someone at home who knows how to use an injector so you can rotate with them if you get weary of it. It's also helpful to have a nurse there the first time.

I had a friend who had some severe reactions. Make sure you are being watched by a doctor at least until you get the hang of the injections to ensure you are doing it correctly. I swear I would have bruised like a peach if I didn't have a nurse there.

I was worried about bleeding, but I've had minimal issues. If you're nervous, maybe try to avoid activities with a high risk of injury, but otherwise, it's been fine for me. Have you been taking it daily? How long has it been?

I'm scared to switch from doing it in my stomach to my hips, but maybe I should give it a try. I know the area is a little fatter, which makes it seem a little more daunting.

I had some serious bruising at my injection sites, so make sure you're changing them up regularly. I also found that warming up the injection site helped a lot. You just rub the area with your fingers gently until it's warm. Helped a lot

I agree with the others. I've been on and off this drug for years due to blood clots and DVT. Don't be afraid to ask your doctor if you have questions. They are there to help.

I've been on Enoxaparin for a while, and while the injection site reactions were frustrating at first, they did get better over time. I find that rotating injection sites and applying a gentle amount of pressure afterwards helps a lot.

Serious side effects are scary, but they're rare. I had an upset stomach and mild diarrhea at first, but those went away. Just keep an eye out for anything unusual and report it to your doctor. Remember that this is not a definitive list of side effects, so if you have any questions or concerns, consult your doctor.

For me the worst thing was the feeling of being like a pin cushion. Everyday you have to do this and then you see the bruises. I get an injection in each cheek, then I spread them out to my stomach. Any suggestions or stories?
