I've just been prescribed Epinephrine 1mg/ml Inj, 1ml for severe allergic reactions. I understand it's crucial for anaphylaxis, but I'm really nervous about the side effects. I've read about everything from allergic reactions to abnormal heartbeat. Has anyone else started using this and had any issues? Or maybe some advice on managing anxieties about side effects? I know it's essential, but I feel pretty overwhelmed right now. Has anyone had any experience with needing to use it? Did your reaction get better or what happened? I feel like I'm just going to have to deal with it if it happens.

I had a mild allergic reaction to bee stings. I carry a set of these with me everywhere. It can save your life. Keep yours handy and don't wait to use it when you need it. Myths about Epinephrine are scary. They are nothing like that in reality.

EPiPens should be in schools and in the hands of everyone that needs them. Skip these worries and save a life.

My son had a severe asthma flare-up and the doctor gave him and epinephrine shot. It was scary, but it worked. He’s recovered fully. He is on daily inhalers so he can enjoy a relatively normal life. I can't imagine how life would be if his school hadn't been prepared.

You're not alone in feeling overwhelmed. My doc explained that Epinephrine is our body's natural response to stress, but in higher doses, it can cause these side effects. It's always best to use it when needed and let the medical professionals handle any complications.

I've had a few patients who were really anxious about this. I always tell them, 'It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.' It really is a lifesaver in emergencies. Just remember, if you do have to use it, go to the hospital right away for follow-up care.

I've used Epinephrine a few times and yes, the side effects can be scary, but they are usually short-term. It's better to deal with them than risk anaphylactic shock. My friend had a severe reaction and the Epinephrine kicked in quickly, saving her life. It's tough, but worth it.

I’ve had the epinephrine shot once, and the adrenaline rush was terrifying, but the alternative would have been worse.

Is it common to have a reaction to the Epinephrine?
