Epipolex 100mg/ml Sol 60ml: Life-Changing for Severe Epilepsy or Too Risky?
I've recently been prescribed Epidiolex 100mg/ml Sol 60ml for my son's Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, and I've been reading a lot about the potential risks and benefits. I know it's a plant-derived medicine that can help reduce seizures, but I'm worried about the side effects, especially the serious ones like liver problems and allergic reactions. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? How did you handle the side effects, and was it worth it in the end? I'd love to hear from anyone who's gone through this or has insights to share.

I had to stop Epidiolex because of the liver issues. Dark urine and yellow skin were scary. It wasn't worth the risk for me, but everyone's different. Make sure to get regular blood tests.
I'm on the fence. The side effects sound terrifying, but the potential to reduce seizures is huge. Has anyone had issues with allergic reactions?
I started Epidiolex for my daughter's epilepsy 2 years ago. We saw a significant decrease in her seizures. The side effects were tough, but talking to the doctor early helped. We managed the drowsiness and weight loss with diet and monitoring, and with the help of her doctor we kept her healthy.
Listen to your instincts. If something feels off, trust it and talk to your doctor.
It's been a game-changer for my niece. She was on other meds that didn't work, and Epidiolex has made a huge difference. Just be prepared for some ups and downs.
Epipolex is not a magic bullet. It has helped my son but we also have to be really careful with dosage and monitoring. Also, be careful if your child has a history of suicidal thoughts or actions.
We started Epidiolex for our daughter's Dravet Syndrome last year. It was a tough decision, but her seizures have decreased significantly. We did experience some side effects like drowsiness and decreased appetite, but it was manageable. Always consult with your doctor and monitor closely. It's a game-changer for many.

Make sure to keep a seizure log. It was a lifesaver for us in terms of monitoring how Epidiolex was really working.
Drowsiness and fatigue were big issues for us. It’s worth it if it reduces seizures, but be prepared for some tough days.
