I recently underwent an angioplasty procedure and was administered Eptifibatide 2mg/ml Inj, 100ml to prevent blood clots. While I'm grateful for the medicine, I'm curious about others' experiences and potential side effects. The drug's primary function is to prevent blood clots by stopping platelets from sticking together, which is crucial during heart attacks or procedures. However, I've been slightly anxious about the potential side effects, particularly the urgent ones like allergic reactions and severe bleeding. Has anyone else had similar concerns or experiences? How quickly did your anxiety subside? Did you experience any side effects?

How long did you stay in the hospital after the procedure? I had some light bruising and felt a bit dizzy right after, but it went away. I was there for a couple of days for monitoring.

Just wanted to add that if anyone has experienced these side effects, definitely report it to the FDA. My doctor said the reporting process is really easy and it helps other patients.

I had a similar experience with another drug but it was so severe that it put me in the ER. The doctor said it was a 1 in a million deal and I felt like I was going crazy. I had this idea that I had to stay in bed because I was bleeding but I think that was just my mind playing tricks on me.

The worst part about Eptifibatide for me was getting the IV. I hate needles so much. I ended up having to have someone hold my hand to keep me calm. It was such a relief when the IV was finally out.

I had the procedure and the doctors gave me a list of side effects. The one that stands out to me is the severe dizziness! I was always doing weird things like going to the kitchen and not remembering why I went there. It eventually stopped happening after a day or two but it was strange at the time.

This drug is amazing but it's essential to monitor for those severe side effects. I work in a cardiac unit, and I've seen a few patients have to rush back to the ER for major bleeding issues. The doctor kept saying it's extremely rare, but seeing it happen a few times was a bit scary.

I had a hairline fracture and couldn't take any drugs for blood clotting. The doctors told me that I would have to avoid Eptifibatide because of the side effects. I was so relieved to be able to take other drugs

I had a family member experience really severe side effects from this drug. It was a medical emergency! The doctor said that it was a rare reaction. I'm glad he didn't have any long term issues.

I was given Eptifibatide during a heart attack and it saved my life, but I did experience a lot of bruising. My doctor said it's a common side effect, but it wasn't fun to deal with. Took almost two weeks to fully heal..
