I was recently prescribed Erythrom Eth 200mg/5ml Susp 200ml to treat a chest infection and I've had a mixed experience. The medication seems to be working, but I've had some side effects that I wasn't expecting. I wanted to start a discussion to see if anyone else has had similar experiences or can offer advice. The urgent side effects list is quite scary and I want to make sure I'm not at risk of developing any of those. Has anyone else had issues with severe reactions? How did you manage them? I've also had some less severe side effects like diarrhea and stomach pain, which are quite uncomfortable. Does anyone know if there's a way to mitigate these? Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated! Additionally, I've found it a bit challenging to find detailed information on how to properly administer the suspension. Any tips on that would be helpful too.

I can't believe how many people experience these side effects. I thought it was just me. I'm glad to see others going through the same thing.

I had a severe allergic reaction to a different antibiotic once. It was terrifying. If you start to feel any of those symptoms, don't wait—get medical help immediately.

I had a similar experience with Erythromycin. The side effects were tough to deal with, but I found that taking the medication with food helped reduce the stomach issues. Make sure you're taking it as directed and staying hydrated.

I've wondered about this before. Are there ways to mitigate the risk of long QT syndrome? It sounds so serious.

I've never had an issue with antibiotics before, but this one was tough. It's definitely given me a new appreciation for how powerful and potentially dangerous these medications can be. What scares me most is the potential for severe skin reactions or liver problems. I'm glad I'm not alone in dealing with the diarrhea and stomach pain. I've been eating smaller, more frequent meals to help

I didn't know about the hearing loss risk. That's a scary thought. I don't have any kidney problems, but I'll be extra careful just in case.

I've actually found Erythrom Eth suspension easy to use, but my boyfriend get extremely lazy when it comes to cleaning his finger just after administering the medicine. Did you know that when you touch the top of the cap or the dropper, you introduce bacteria back into the bottle?
