Erythromycin 333mg EC Tablets are a widely prescribed antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Commonly, this medication is used to combat respiratory tract infections, skin infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections. Its mechanism of action involves stopping the growth of bacteria, which helps the body's immune system to eradicate the infection. However, like all medications, Erythromycin comes with a range of side effects that can vary from mild to severe. Some urgent side effects that require immediate medical attention include signs of an allergic reaction, liver problems, and severe skin reactions. Common side effects include diarrhea, stomach pain, and decreased appetite, which usually subside as the body adjusts to the medication. If you experience any side effects, it is crucial to consult your doctor. You can also report any adverse reactions to the FDA for further monitoring and analysis. Have you or someone else taken Erythromycin 333mg EC Tablets? What was your experience like?

I wonder if there are any long-term effects of taking Erythromycin. Like, what happens if you have to take it multiple times a year? Anyone have any insights on that?

Definitely agree with being cautious. I've read that some people experience life-threatening side effects like abnormal heart rhythms which can be exacerbated when taking other medications. Always good to double-check with your doctor on interactions and dosing.

I took Erythromycin for a skin infection and didn't experience any major side effects. Just a bit of nausea, but it was manageable. Not sure if it's just luck or what, but I'm grateful it worked out for me.

For me, the worst part was the diarrhea. I ended up with C. diff, which led to some serious complications, dehydration, and a week-long hospital stay. Thankfully, I'm recovering well but it's been a tough journey. Truly scary to consider how much worse it could have been.

I've had a pretty good experience with Erythromycin; it worked for my respiratory tract infection. No side effects, which was great! But I'm curious, can anyone share any remedies for the kind of stomach pain/cramps some people get?
