I've been taking Esomeprazole Pwdr 40mg DR For Susp for a few months now to manage my acid reflux, and overall, it's been a relief. However, I recently experienced some alarming side effects that I want to share. Last week I developed a rash, severe blistering and peeling skin, and some redness in my eyes. I ended up in the ER and was diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS). I want to know if anyone else has had similar experiences? Are these side-effects common? I checked the warning signs and didn't realize it could get this serious.

Wow, that's intense. I started Esomeprazole a month ago and have only had some mild stomach upsets. Nothing like what you're dealing with. Thanks for sharing!

This is why people need to be careful with medications. Always start slow and monitor for reactions. Esomeprazole isn't just for acid reflux; it's also used for ulcers. I've heard bad stories about ulcers too. Be careful and keep us posted on how you're doing.

This is why I always double-check the side effects list whenever I start a new medication. It's scary but essential to be aware of potential complications like Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS).

If you experience swelling in your throat or have trouble breathing, head to the ER immediately. It could be a severe allergic reaction. I had a friend who had a similar reaction to a different medication and it was terrifying.

I had some weird skin reactions but nothing like what you're describing. I've been on Esomeprazole for years with few issues. I wish you a speedy recovery.

I've had Esomeprazole before, but always in pill form. I'm curious if the powder form has different side effects. Dosage consistency matters as well. Have you discussed switching back to pills with your doctor?

I had no idea Esomeprazole could cause such severe reactions. I'm glad you shared this. I'll be more mindful of any unusual symptoms if I ever need to take it. Take care and get well soon!

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. SJS is incredibly rare and scary. The FDA website discusses this, and it's mentioned as a side effect.
