EST Estrgn Methtest 1.25/2.5mg Tab: My experience and concerns about this hormone replacement therapy
I've been on EST Estrgn Methtest 1.25/2.5mg Tab for a few months now to manage severe hot flashes and low libido post-menopause. Initially, I was hesitant because of the potential side effects, but my doctor assured me it would help. So far, the hot flashes have reduced significantly, and my energy levels have improved. However, I've been experiencing some bloating and mild stomach cramps, which I hope will subside with time. I'm also a bit worried about the long-term effects, especially the possibility of liver problems. Has anyone else had similar experiences or know more about the long-term impacts?

I've been on this medication for a year now, and while it has helped with menopausal symptoms, I've gained a bit of weight. It's frustrating, but I'm trying to stay positive. Have any of you found effective ways to manage weight gain while on this medication?
I was on this for a while and also had issues with bloating. It went away after a few weeks. Hang in there, it might get better!
I heard that other women who went on this medication experienced increased facial hair. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm desperate to avoid that.
I had a severe allergic reaction to a similar medication. How do you know if your doctor is up-to-date on all potential allergic reactions and how to recognize them?
I appreciate all the detailed posts. Unfortunately, breast pain and tenderness are major issues for me, but worth it for the relief from other symptoms. Can anyone recommend a good bra for this? A bit more support makes a lot of difference, for me too.
Always remember that estrogen and androgens are a powerful mix, especially when you consider the androgenic side effects. This is why your doses are so small, but it will affect everyone differently. I went the bioidentical route, and it's much less endocrine-disrupting.
