I recently started using Estradiol 1.25mg/day Top Gel Pk to manage my menopause symptoms. I've been experiencing hot flashes and night sweats, and at this point, I would like to try anything at this point. I applied the gel as prescribed, and I must say it was much easier to use than the pills I had taken before. I am hoping that the gel helps with some of the symptoms that I don't have to take pills daily. However, I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. Has anyone else tried this gel? I would really appreciate some input on how it worked for you and any side effects you may have experienced, especially those that are not listed. Particularly if you have experienced any adverse side effects, I may have to stop treatment. I am also curious as to if it will help with the vaginal dryness. I am hoping that it will help with the dryness at least. However, I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones such as the blood clots or high calcium. Does anyone have any input on this?

Glad to hear it's working for you, but I'd be careful with the blood clot stuff. My mom had some issues with that, so I'm always on the lookout for any signs. It is really scary to think about. I am thinking about switching to the pill, are the side effects any different? And which is better? I am not sure what to do.

I've had some issues with fatique as well as some back pain. I have been exercising regularly. Is this just the menopause course or is this a side effect of the gel? I am not sure what to do. Any suggestions? I am starting to feel like I am just becoming more and more lazy over time and I feel like it is taking a toll on me. What can I do to combat this fatigue?

I've had no issues so far, but I've only been using it for a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed it stays that way. But I feel like I am not experiencing the same side effects as everyone else. But I do experience a lot of the same symptoms.

Make sure you have your doctor check your blood pressure regularly. Mine went through the roof while I was on this stuff and I had to immediately switch to the pill.

Yep, not fun either way but I need to take this to control the bleeding.

Anybody experience and weight gain from this? I'm trying to stay in shape, and the last thing I need is for this to make it harder on my diet and exercise. It seems like I am burning less fat overall. Is there anything that I can do to counteract this weight gain? Does anybody else experience this gain?

I've had some issues with mood swings and depression. I am not sure if it's the gel or just menopause in general. It has been really tough to deal with. I have been talking to a therapist and counselor but it has been tough. Any suggestions on how to manage the mood swings? It is really starting to get to me. I feel like I am going crazy. I feel like I have been on a constant rollercoaster. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

I've had some issues with weight gain. It has been really hard to deal with. I am trying to exercise but find it very difficult to do so. I am just feeling really lazy. I am not sure what to do about this. Has anyone had the same issues? Has anyone found a way to deal with weight gain?

I started with the cream and now I am using the gel. I have to say that the gel is my preferred method. I deal a lot less irritation using the gel.

I've been using this gel for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my hot flashes. I only experience mild skin irritation at very most, and the patchs will only occasionally get irritated. I've also noticed significant improvement in my vaginal dryness, though to me it does not seem as helpful as the creams. But I have to say, the pill was a lot worse on my stomach. Highly recommend talking to your doctor about this option but only if you have already tried the creams.
