I've recently been prescribed Estradiol 1.25mg/day Top Gel Pk to manage menopausal symptoms. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. How effective has it been for you in relieving hot flashes and vaginal dryness? Are there any side effects you've experienced that I should be aware of? I'd love to know your thoughts, tips, and any advice you might have for someone just starting out with this treatment. Also if you have had any experiences with other medications used to manage menopausal symptoms let me know so I can make an informed choice.

I've found that applying it to my inner arm works best for me. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly after application, too. I've heard stories of people forgetting and then having skin that's light-colored. I've had it happen to my and haven't been happy with the results.

I wish they'd have told me about the mood swings and depression. I've been on this for a while and it's been great for my physical symptoms, but the emotional toll has been tough. It feels like I'm losing my sanity at times.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a friend who started using it and ended up with some serious side effects. She had to stop taking it because of the severe headaches and dizziness. Just something to keep in mind.

Seriously, the weight gain was the worst for me. I had to cut out so much of my favorite foods to go on this medication and it's been a struggle.

I had a bad reaction to the gel. My skin got irritated and I had to stop using it. Unfortunately, have yet to find a replacement that works this well.
