I was prescribed Estratest Fs 1.25mg/2.5mg Tablets to manage severe menopausal symptoms, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential risks mentioned in the prescription info. Has anyone else tried this and if so what was your experience and did you have any side effects? More importantly, how well did it work? I've tried other hormone replacement therapies but they didn't quite cut it, so I'm hoping this will be the solution. What should I expect in the first few weeks, and what side effects are most common? How severe are they? Anything else I should be aware of?

I absolutely hated the changes and nausea in the first week so I switched to something else. I think I will just need to tough it out and try something else for a while. I feel like it was just a bad experience for me. I'm trying to be positive but it was pretty bad at first. I think I'd try another medication but I'm worried about the risks.

I had a weird rash all over my body. I stopped taking Estratest and only went back to it after a month after my doctor helped manage it with some creams and antihistamines. I've been fine so far. It really did help with the night sweats.

My doctor told me about a breast lump and I know that I have to get it checked out soon. This medication is great for the symptoms, but it's worrying me a bit. I'm sorry to hear that you are having these problems. I think I'll be OK though! I really hope that it all goes away soon though.

I only wish I knew about the potential for weight gain before I started. I gained about 10 pounds in the first month, and the bloating was brutal. I hope it gets better soon, but I'm giving it at least 3 or 4 more months. Anyone else have this issue? If so, how did you manage it?

You know, my mom tried Estratest and had weird side effects like facial hair growth and a deepening voice. She stopped taking it as the hormonal imbalance was far worse than her original symptoms.

I've been on Estratest for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for my hot flashes and night sweats. I did experience some initial breast tenderness, but it went away after a few weeks. My doctor was very helpful. Some minor side effects but really improved my quality of life. I highly recommend talking to your doctor about monitoring your blood pressure and liver function while on this medication.

Be prepared for some mood swings. I started feeling a bit more irritable and emotional, but my doctor assured me it's normal in the beginning. I'll add that I haven't experienced any major side effects, but I do take it daily with a light snack. If you feel faint or dizzy, you may want to take it with food. It helped me a lot with my severe symptoms. It's worth sticking it out for a couple of months if you're feeling a bit worse before you feel better.
