I have been trying using Estrogen Gel Pk 1mg/day for my menopause symptoms. The hot flashes and vaginal dryness are supposed to be relieved by this, but it has not helped me yet. It has been a few weeks and I am considering changing methods. However, I saw this medication had a lot of reviews and decided to try it but I feel the same. Has anyone else had success with this medication? Please help!

I had some issues with the gel version. The patch worked better for me; give it a try

I've been using Estradiol gel for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my hot flashes. I apply it once a day like the instructions say, and I've seen a big difference in my symptoms.

And remember, if any of the side effects are bothering you, talk to your doctor. There are other options out there. It did not work for me but I am still searching for the right one

I think it just took a bit longer for me to notice a difference. After a few weeks, I started to feel better. Stick with it, and if it does not improve, talk to your doctor

I found that the gel caused some irritation on my skin at first. I talked to my doctor and she said I can switch to a lower dose and to see if it improved.

I had a similar issue. It was a bit hit or miss at first, but my doctor suggested to do this: try to apply it to the same area each day so you know how much is absorbed. Also, give it a couple of weeks to build up in your system. I also tried to change it to a different location.

It is also important to remember that everyone's body responds differently to medication. Keep a log of how you feel and take this to your doctor.

I've heard gels can be tricky because the amount of hormone absorbed can vary based on where you apply it and how well it absorbs. Make sure you're applying it to clean, dry skin and rotating application sites.

I switched to the low-dose pill and it's been much more effective for me. Maybe you could try that or another form of hormone replacement therapy. Also, it looks like you're using the 1mg/day version, it's possible this is not enough.
