Ethosuximide is a medication commonly prescribed for absence seizures. While effective, it can have a range of side effects, from mild to severe. I've been taking it for a few months and have experienced some of the listed side effects. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. What has your experience been like? Have you encountered any severe side effects, and if so, how did you handle them? Additionally, I'm interested in hearing any tips for managing the side effects. Let's share our experiences and support each other!

I think it's important to remember that everyone's experience is different. What works for one person might not work for another. It's all about finding the right balance and talking to your doctor regularly. You aren't alone. Good luck, everyone!

The caffeine in my coffee helped with the drowsiness, but I had to reduce my intake. My doctor let me know that it could cause trouble and I've cut down.

I had a pretty severe reaction to this medication. I developed a rash and had trouble breathing. Scared the hell out of me. But the doctor switched me to another drug, and I've been doing much better. Just be careful and listen to your body.

I don't know about you guys, but the nausea was the worst part for me. I have a super sensitive stomach and almost quit but I'm so glad I didn't. It might be worth reading up on dosage adjustments. My doctor worked with me to find the right dose — I didn't have to suffer.

I remember the first few weeks were the worst. I felt so tired and weak, I could barely get out of bed. But it did get better with time, and I'm glad I stuck it out. The seizures were so much worse before.

I've been on Ethosuximide for about a year now, and the dizziness and drowsiness were tough to deal with at first. But I found that taking it right before bed helped a lot with the drowsiness. The dizziness lessened over time. Just make sure to talk to your doctor if you feel uncomfortable.

I've noticed some weight loss, which wasn't a bad thing for me, but it could be a concern for others. And the hiccups were annoying, but manageable. Overall, it's been okay, but I wish the side effects weren't so varied.

This medication saved me from the constant seizure issues. The hiccups and minor dizziness were annoying but worth the improvement in my condition. My doctor switched me to this from topiramate — I think this has been better for me overall, but I have to put up with a different set of side effects.

I've heard that some people experience hallucinations. That's scary stuff. I've been lucky to avoid that, but I've seen the fear in my friends' eyes. Don't mess with people's minds, Ethosuximide ;)

Has anyone experienced the severe skin reaction? That sounds terrifying. I've been lucky so far, just some mild dizziness. Also, any tips for dealing with the stomach issues? I sometimes get nausea and it's a bother.
