I was recently prescribed Euthyrox 0.100mg (100mcg) Tablets to manage my hypothyroidism. I've been taking them for about a month now, and while I'm feeling a bit better, I wanted to hear from others who have experience with this medication. What side effects have you dealt with? Do they go away? I've noticed some changes in my appetite and a bit of hair loss, which I've read is common but wanted folks to comment on their own expriences. Also, what can I expect in the coming months? Thanks all.

My doctor told me to take it in the morning and wait 30 mins before eating, but I'm wondering if there are other tips for making sure I get the most out of this medication. I've heard that coffee can interfere with absorption. Is that true? I'm also wondering how long it typically takes to feel the full effects of the medication. I've heard it can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, but would love to hear more specific experiences. Also, I've been having some trouble with weight changes so any tips for handling that would be great.

I've been on Levothyroxine for years. Hair loss is normal at first, but it should stop after a few months. Stick with it, you'll feel better soon.

I had a really bad reaction to Levothyroxine and tried so many times to adjust my dose but ended up switching to a different brand and it made all the difference. So if you're having a lot of trouble, it might be worth talking to your doctor about trying a different brand.

I'm curious, has anyone else had issues with muscle cramps and weakness? Or am I just lucky?

Yeah, the weight thing is tough. I lost a lot of weight initially when I started taking Levothyroxine, but it's been a struggle to maintain. Just keep in mind that it's a journey and it's different for everyone.

I found that taking my Levothyroxine at night helped with some of the side effects I was experiencing, like trouble sleeping. It's worth talking to your doctor about if you're having issues. I've also found weight management to be challenging. It's been hard to lose weight even though I'm feeling better. I'm sure others have dealt with this as well.

I've been on Euthyrox for a couple of years now, I've had no side effects at all, but my experience seems to be the exception, not the rule. But I think it's important to stick with it. I felt a lot better after a few weeks, but it took a few months to feel 'normal' again.

Be careful with coffee, it can definitely interfere with absorption. Try to take your medication at least 30-60 minutes before your morning cup.

I was really nervous to start taking Levothyroxine because of all the side effects I read about, but honestly, it's been a lifesaver for me. I was so tired all the time and just felt 'off' and now I feel so much better. It's definitely worth talking to your doctor about if you're feeling bad.

I've been on Levothyroxine for a few years now, and I've found that taking it at night helps me sleep better and reduces some of the anxiety I felt when I first started taking it.
