I was recently prescribed Evenity (105mg/1.17ml Inj) for my osteoporosis, and I'm feeling quite nervous about the injections and potential side effects. Has anyone else used this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both positive and negative. I'm especially curious about the injection process and any tips for managing side effects like joint pain and headaches. Also, I'm concerned about the serious side effects listed, such as allergic reactions and low calcium levels. Has anyone had issues with these, and how were they managed? I've got a lot of questions and would appreciate any insights or advice you can offer. I want to make sure I'm well-prepared and informed before I start this treatment.

I've been on Evenity for 4 months now, and so far, so good. No major side effects, just a bit of a headache now and then. But honestly, the thought of breaking a bone because of osteoporosis is way scarier than dealing with a few headaches.

I had no idea how important it is to talk to your doctor about even minor side effects. Now I have this habit of not taking my doctor's advice for granted. The little pains can be an issue, so better to let them know. They might help avoid something bigger down the line.

I've had some muscle cramps, but I'm not sure if it's from the medication or just getting older. I keep reminding myself that the discomfort is temporary. My doctor doesn't want me to take calcium supplements. He says for me, the calcium balance should stay stable without them. I'm still a bit confused why.

I ended up with a really bad rash after one injection. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction. I had to stop using it right away and switched to a different medication. It was scary, but my doctor got it under control fast. Just a heads-up to keep an eye on any signs of a reaction.

I had some numbness and tingling in my hands after the first injection, but it went away after a couple of days. I'm just glad I didn't have any serious side effects.

I had no idea there were so many side effects. This is why I always do a thorough reading of the medication's guide. If you're feeling anxious, remember that the FDA requires these extensive studies before they approve any drug. The drugmaker has to disclose possible risks, but most of the time, the drug's benefits outweigh the risks.

I'm on my third month, and I've been lucky. No side effects at all. But I've been really careful, taking it easy and following the doc's orders to the letter. We’re all different, so maybe I’m just lucky. Let's hope you are too.

I’m scared of the injections, but I guess it’s better than breaking a hip. Anyone have tips for making the injections less scary?

I've been on Evenity for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. The injections are easy enough to do yourself once you get the hang of it. My doctor gave me a clear demonstration. The main side effect I've noticed is a bit of joint pain, but it's manageable with some ibuprofen. I saw no signs of low calcium, but I do take supplements just to be safe. Also, keep in mind that the 12 months won’t be a walk in the park. You really need to stick to the routine and schedule your appointments for follow-ups.

Make sure to talk to your doctor about any other medications you're taking. I had to stop taking a few supplements because of potential interactions. It's all worth it if the bone health improves, though.
