Experience with Pravastatin 80mg: Lowering cholesterol and dealing with side effects?
I was recently prescribed Pravastatin 80mg to manage my high cholesterol. I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this medication. What were your experiences with side effects, and how did you manage them? Additionally, how effective was it in lowering your cholesterol? I'd love to hear both positive and negative experiences to better understand what to expect.

I know it’s not easy to lower your cholesterol and it’s definitely worse when you feel bad. I’m not sure the Pravastatin is working for me.
My doc told me to watch for muscle pain and weakness. I’m 65, so I’m paying close attention. I haven't noticed anything yet.
I stopped taking Pravastatin because I didn’t like the diarrhea and upset stomach. It was a shame because my cholesterol levels were improving, but the side effects were too much to handle.
I've been on Pravastatin for about six months and it's been great for my cholesterol levels. I had some initial muscle pain, but it went away after a few weeks. My doctor said that's pretty common.
This medication was a lifesaver for me. No side effects at all. I had my cholesterol checked last month and everything is back to normal! If you're feeling nervous, you should be in the clear.
I'm a 65 I’ve been on it for years and no real issues. I've seen a lot of people complaining about side effects, but I think it's worth it to keep my cholesterol in check.
I got the common cold even with Pravastatin! I don’t think it’s directly related to the drug, but it’s been bothering me all the same!
I got awful chest pain for a few weeks and I had to switch to a different medication. I’m still on the lookout for the best drug to drop my cholesterol.
