Hi all! I was prescribed Durezol 0.05% Ophth Emulsion for post-eye surgery inflammation, and I’m trying to gather more information. It seems to be working, but I'm curious about others' experiences and any tips for managing side effects. I've heard some horror stories about allergies and other concerning side effects, so I’m a bit nervous. Does anyone have any insights on how to manage these risks? I’d love to hear from anyone who has used it for uveitis as well, as that seems to be a different ballpark. Do people really get the severe reactions, and can those be mitigated with other treatments?

I was nervous about using Durezol but the doctor assured me that while the side effects are scary, they're rare. Just keep an eye on things and you'll be fine.

If you notice any kind of rash or hives, ditch the Durezol immediately. Allergies can escalate fast. Things like that should be treated ASAP.

Yep, the severe side effects are rare but scary. I'd recommend having a close eye on any sudden changes. If you experience reactions, stop using it and go see your doctor.

Everyone’s so scared of the side effects, but it was normal. Watch for the allergic reaction signs, but I had to deal with nothing worse than a little dryness and occasional discomfort. Stick to your dosage and it’ll do wonders.

I used Durezol after my cataract surgery and it was a game-changer. But I had to be really careful with the dosage and storage instructions. Always keep it refrigerated and follow the prescription exactly.

I think the dry eyes and the headache side effects are manageable if you stay hydrated and avoid straining your eyes. It's a bit of a hassle but worth it if it relieves the inflammation.

I used Durezol for uveitis. It was a lifesaver but the doctor said it was important to keep an eye on any changes to my eyesight. Allergic reactions can be nasty, but if you notice any irritation or sensitivity to light call your doctor right away.

I had a similar experience with Durezol. For the first week, I experienced some eye irritation and dryness, which was manageable. But once I got past that initial period, it worked wonders in reducing swelling and pain.

I noticed a lot of people don't realize that Durezol can be pretty powerful, especially the steroids in it. It's great for reducing inflammation after cataract surgery but be ready for some potential irritation and sensitivity to light.
