I've had a similar experience with the adrenaline gland issues. I started feeling extremely weak and dizzy, and I ended up passing out. It was scary, but thankfully, my doctor caught it in time. If you start feeling wonky, don't wait it out – go to the ER.
I've been on the patch for a year now, and the only side effect I've noticed is some excessive sweating. It's annoying, but not enough to make me stop using the patch. The pain relief is worth it.
I had some breathing issues at first, but my doctor adjusted the dosage, and it's been fine since. I'm just glad to have something that finally controls my pain.
I wish I had known about the serotonin syndrome before starting this medication. I ended up in the ER with hallucinations and a racing heartbeat. Turns out, one of my other meds interacted badly with the Fentanyl. Please be careful and talk to your doctor about all the medications you're taking.
