Hello, I am looking for some personal experiences and insights regarding the use of Phenylephrine 10mg/ml Injection. I understand that it is commonly used in hospital settings to raise blood pressure, especially when it drops too low during surgery or in certain medical conditions. It can also be used to treat a fast heart rhythm called PSVT. I am aware of the side effects, but I am curious to know how common they are and how severe they can be. I am particularly interested in knowing about the tissue damage that can occur at the injection site. Has anyone here had to deal with this? What were the symptoms, and how was it managed? Additionally, I would love to hear about any lesser-known side effects or tips for managing them. Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences!

I got this after a surgery and ended up with a really bad case of sweating and feeling restless. It was awful but luckily it went away after a few hours.

I had a friend who got this during a particularly difficult surgery. He was complaining of severe neck pain and trouble sleeping. The doctors had to reduce his dosage and switch to a different medication.

My mom had a really bad reaction when she got this medicine. She had this really severe headache and her vision got all blurry. We had to rush her to the ER and she stayed there for a few days. They said it was because of the medication. I'm terrified of this stuff.

I've seen this used quite a bit in the ER for hypotension. The most common side effects I've seen are dizziness and headache, which usually resolve on their own. But yeah, the injection site can sometimes get red and painful. Just keep an eye on it and let your nurse know if it gets worse.

My dad got this after a surgery for low blood pressure. He did have a lot of trouble sleeping and it took a good few days for it to pass. He also experienced the sweating. Then again, he had already dealt with a lot due to his health issues so his reaction to this was no surprise to us.

I had to receive this injection during a procedure, and honestly, I didn't feel any side effects at all. This is the first time I've heard about the injection site damage. I hope that doesn't happen to anyone else.

I'm an anesthesiologist, and I can tell you that the risk of severe side effects is actually quite low, especially if the drug is administered properly. The key is to monitor the patient closely and adjust the dosage as needed. But yeah, tissue damage at the injection site is a real thing, so it's important to check that regularly.

I had this injection during a colonoscopy and experienced slight abdominal pain afterward. But it was definitely manageable and I'd rather deal with minor discomfort than have my colonoscopy go wrong. I guess it's all about the tradeoffs.

I'm a nurse, and I've seen this drug used a lot, but the tissue damage is pretty rare. Most of the time, patients just get a little redness around the injection site. It's usually not a big deal, but you should definitely tell your nurse if you notice anything unusual.

It's crazy how some people have no issues and others have such severe reactions. I remember my friend was in the hospital, and they gave him phenylephrine. He ended up having some chest pain, and they had to stop the injection immediately.
