Xadago 50mg tablets are a relatively new addition to Parkinson's disease treatment. I've recently switched to it alongside levodopa/carbidopa to see if it helps with the 'off' times. It is supposed to help with movement and control but I still don't know how effective the Xadago is. Has anyone else tried it? What are your experiences with the side effects, especially the urgent ones? I've heard of the serotonin syndrome and it's quite frightening to think about.

I'd also like to know if anyone has reported their side effects to the FDA or their doctor and why they did it? I tend to be forgetful with these sorts of things.

I was worried about the serotonin syndrome symptoms but I haven't experienced any yet. I spoke to my doctor and she said to be on the lookout for confusion and agitation. I've also set up a 'safety check' with my caregiver so we can talk regularly and monitor the effects.

I'm glad I found this thread and the information about Xadago. I was unaware of the sudden potential for hallucination and changes in behavior. I think I will continue using. Keep up the good work guys!

I'm on the fence about the medication. I've had a few unexpected side effects, but it does seem to help with movement better than what I was taking before. I've never experienced any kind of hallucinations, but I've heard that story from someone else who uses this drug.

Xadago has been a lifesaver for me. I've seen a significant reduction in 'off' times, and the side effects I experienced were minimal and almost gone after a few weeks - but I did make sure to discuss them with my doctor.

I've had some moderate success with Xadago. I started at a low dose and gradually increased, which helped mitigate some of the side effects. My doctor recommended it to me.
