While this news brings hope to many, it's crucial to understand the potential side effects and discuss them with healthcare providers. This thread is to share experiences, ask questions, and gain more insight into this new treatment option. Has anyone started taking Exservan? What have your experiences been like?

My mom was diagnosed with ALS last year. We're considering Exservan, but the side effects are concerning. Any advice on navigating this?

Be careful with this one. My uncle took it and had some scary issues with his liver. Doctors had to pull him off it.

This thread is a bit of a bummer. Let's hope for the best for everyone dealing with ALS. I think this drug is a blessing.

This is a big step forward in ALS treatment. Finally, something that might actually slow down the progression.

I started Exservan a month ago. So far, I've had some stomach upset and fatigue, but nothing unbearable. Just hoping it's doing what it's supposed to.

My wife is a clinical trial coordinator at a hospital, and she said that this drug has had good results in the advanced stages of ALS. She has seen patients with improved survival rates and a better quality of life of life while taking this medication. She did say, though, that it is important to be aware of the potential side effects and to work closely with your doctor to monitor any changes in your health. She recommended keeping a journal to track any symptoms or side effects and to discuss them with your doctor during regular check-ups. She also suggested joining a support group for ALS patients and their families, as it can provide valuable emotional support and practical advice. This is a difficult journey, but knowing that there are people out there who understand what you're going through can make all the difference in the world. It is always best to be proactive and informed when it comes to your health, and Exservan seems to be a promising option for ALS patients.
