Famotidine 40mg/5ml Oral Susp 50ml: Has anyone experienced serious side effects?
I've been prescribed Famotidine 40mg/5ml Oral Susp 50ml for my GERD, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced any serious side effects. The list of urgent side effects is pretty concerning, and I'm a bit nervous about starting this medication. Has anyone had a reaction beyond a headache? Or does anyone have a similar prescription? Do you just take it for your reflux? I'd love to hear some real-world experiences and advice. The alternative treatment is surgery, so I'd much rather know there are people that had this work for them or give me their experience.

My doctor said all medications have some risks, but the benefits of Famotidine outweigh them in most cases. I don't know, I just take it because they told me to. Other than that, no problems.
I've been on Famotidine for a while now, and I haven't had any serious side effects. Just the occasional headache, but nothing too bad. I think it's worth a shot if you're struggling with GERD. Have you tried any other medications?
I think Famotidine is very safe. I've been taking it for years with no issues. Either way, go to the doctor and ask them about your concerns. They have all the answers you need. Don't worry at all..
I've been on it for a month and I've never felt better. My stomach just feels like brand new again. I'm not having any side effects at all. Just go to the doctor. They know what they're doing.
I had a bad reaction to Famotidine. I got a rash and started itching all over. I had to stop taking it right away. If you start feeling weird please go to the doctor immediately. If you're feeling fine though, pretty sure you'll be alright. My doctor had me take Zantac after that, and it's been fine so far
