I've been researching Fentanyl Cit 100mcg Tablets for a while now, and I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this strong opioid pain medication. It's specifically designed for cancer patients experiencing sudden, severe 'breakthrough' pain. The tablets are placed in the mouth between the cheek and gum or under the tongue, dissolving quickly to provide fast pain relief. However, the side effects can be quite severe and potentially life-threatening, including allergic reactions, serotonin syndrome, and adrenal gland problems. Has anyone had experience with these tablets, and if so, what was your experience like? Were the side effects manageable, and how did your doctor handle them?

I had to stop taking them because of the severe constipation. It was miserable. But when I needed the pain relief, there was no better option.

The site of administration was irritated for a while. I wonder if anyone else experienced that?

The tablets dissolved quickly, but the taste was horrible. My sister can't even stand to put them in her mouth anymore.

Fentanyl is extremely powerful and should only be used in extreme cases where other medications aren't effective. The risk of side effects like serotonin syndrome and adrenal gland problems is very real, but for some patients, the benefits outweigh the risks. Always make sure to discuss thoroughly with your doctor before starting any new pain medication.

There are a lot of detrimental side effects that come with these, including dizziness and vomiting. But when you've got to keep going, you've got to keep going.

This medication is a double-edged sword. It's effective, but the side effects can be brutal. Make sure to talk to your doctor about all the possible risks and benefits before starting. I had diarrhea for weeks.

I just don't understand why fentanyl is prescribed to non-cancer patients. It's too risky. Newer medications with fewer side effects need to be explored.

Did anyone experience a rash? My wife got a nasty rash when she was on this stuff.

I was prescribed these for my mom during her last few months, and they were a lifesaver. They provided her quick relief when other pain meds couldn't. However, we had to be super careful with the dosage because of the side effects.
