I recently started using Fentanyl Cit 600mcg Oral Transmucosal Lozenge for breakthrough cancer pain, and I wanted to hear from others who have experience with this medication. It's incredibly strong, and I'm curious about how others manage the side effects and storage concerns. The lozenge works quickly, but I've had some issues with dizziness and nausea. How does it compare to other opioid medications? How do you keep it out of reach of children and pets? These and more to discuss here.

I've been using it for a while and I've had some serious episodes of dizziness. Good reminder about keeping it locked up. I've considered getting a child-proof case for it, but I'm not sure if that's a good solution. The box is safe but sometimes I forget to put it away immediately after use. Any tips?

I'm concerned about the serotonin syndrome. Has anyone else experienced symptoms like hallucinations or seizures? I'm really not sure what to do if that does happen.

I've been on this for a while, and the dizziness is definitely a challenge. I make sure to sit down and take it slow, but sometimes I still feel a bit out of it. Keeping it safe is a big deal; I keep mine in a locked box out of sight.

I've used this for a while, and I've mostly experienced dry mouth and constipation, nothing too bad. Wondering if anyone has found a good way to manage these side effects? I'm thinking about talking to my doctor about other meds to help.

This medication is a lifesaver for me, but I’ve had some serious side effects. One time, I had a severe allergic reaction with hives and trouble breathing. I had to rush myself to the ER. I don’t think I’ll try this again but I’m curious how common this is for others.

Does anyone else struggle with the taste? I hate it, but the relief is worth it. Just wish they made it in different flavors. I'm surprised they don't have more options for this.

I've found that taking it exactly as prescribed helps a lot. I use the timing app on my phone to remind myself when to take it. It's a hassle, but worth it because I can manage the pain better and avoid the worst of the side effects.
