Fluad 65+ is a flu vaccine specifically designed for people aged 65 and older. It includes an adjuvant called MF59, which helps the immune system produce a stronger response to the vaccine, providing better protection against the flu. This shot is crucial for seniors, as they are more vulnerable to severe flu complications. However, like any medication, Fluad 65+ comes with possible side effects, some of which are urgent and require immediate medical attention. Understanding these side effects and how to manage them can help you make informed decisions about getting the flu shot. Has anyone here had experience with Fluad 65+? What were your side effects like? Is this vaccine worth it for seniors? Feel free to share your stories and advice.

I work in a senior care facility, and we always make sure to get the Fluad 65+ shots for our residents. The adjuvant really does help boost their immune response, and we've seen fewer flu cases since we started using it. Of course, we monitor them closely for any side effects, especially the urgent ones. It's a bit scary when they come up, but we’re trained to handle it. Always good to have the VAERS system as a backup.

I've never had a problem with the flu shot, but I’m always a bit nervous about the potential for severe reactions. It's good to know that the VAERS system is there for reporting any issues that come up. I did feel a bit dizzy afterwards but I think that's just natural for me.

I got my Fluad 65+ shot a few years ago and experienced some pretty severe dizziness afterward. It was scary, and I had to sit down for a while to recover. I wish there had been more information about what to do if that happens. Luckily, I was at the clinic and they helped me out. I do think it's worth getting the shot, but being prepared for the side effects is key.

Got my Fluad 65+ shot last week. A bit of soreness at the injection site, but nothing too bad. Worth it to avoid the flu, right?

Deadly flu season is coming up. Anyone else sick of the flu or the flu shot?

Why is it that the flu shot always seems to cause more side effects in older folks? Just a coincidence or is there something in the vaccine that targets them?

My grandma got the Fluad 65+ shot and had a mild fever and some chills, but it passed after a day. She's doing great now, and I think it's worth it to avoid the flu.
