Fluocinonide 0.05% Soln 60ml is a potent topical steroid solution used to treat various skin conditions, including eczema and psoriasis. It works by reducing inflammation and suppressing the immune response in the skin. While it can be highly effective, the potential side effects are concerning. The urgent side effects, such as severe allergic reactions and signs of high blood sugar, are rare but can be life-threatening. Less severe but still troubling side effects include skin irritation, thinning of the skin, and changes in skin appearance. This medication is typically prescribed for short-term use, and patients should be closely monitored by a healthcare provider. If you've used Fluocinonide or know someone who has, I'd love to hear about your experiences and any advice you might have for managing side effects.

I had a really bad experience with this stuff. I started getting hives and my throat felt tight. I had to rush to the ER because I thought I was having an allergic reaction. Turns out I was, and the doctor said it was from the Fluocinonide. Be careful, folks!

I've been using Fluocinonide for my psoriasis for a few weeks now, and while it's helped a lot with the itching and redness, I've noticed some skin thinning. I'm not sure if I should be concerned or if this is normal. Any advice?

It's a bit concerning, but thinning of the skin is a known side effect. I've seen some people take breaks in between applications and I am too. It has helped me significantly. Make sure to check in with your doctor if it gets too severe.

Most of the urgent side effects are rare, but if you start feeling any of those symptoms, please call your doctor right away. Do not hesitate. I know it sounds silly but I got a really bad reaction and I thought it was just weird eczema flare ups. Turns out I needed to stop the medication.

Try applying a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer after the medication has absorbed. It will help combat the dryness. But remember, constant usage can weaken your skin barrier. Just make sure it's not interfering with the medication's effectiveness
