I've been on Fluorouracil for a few months now, and the injection sites have been a bit painful and red. My nurse told me about applying a warm compress to help with the swelling, and it really helped.

Has anyone else had issues with numbness or tingling in their hands and feet? It’s been bothering me a lot, and I'm not sure if there’s anything I can do to alleviate it.

I've had to be extra careful with infections since starting Fluorouracil. Even a small cut can become infected quickly, and I've had to go to the ER a few times. Always make sure to keep any wounds clean and covered!

I had a really bad allergic reaction to Fluorouracil. My throat swelled up, and I couldn’t breathe. I ended up in the ER and had to switch to a different treatment. It was scary, but at least I caught it in time. Always be vigilant.

I've noticed some redness and irritation on the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet. Is that a common side effect? I didn't see it listed in the pamphlet.

I know it’s tough, but staying positive and taking things one day at a time really helps. Talking to other people going through the same thing can make a big difference too.

I had to stop treatment because of the side effects. 50ml was way too much for my body! The constant diarrhea and vomiting made it hard to even function. I'm hoping to find a better alternative soon.

Does anyone have tips for dealing with the exhaustion? I feel like I'm constantly tired, and it's affecting my daily life. I'm not sure if it’s the treatment or the body just trying to cope with all the changes.

I had to get a port inserted after the first few treatments. The IV sites were getting pretty tender. It’s made a big difference, and I highly recommend considering it if you’re having issues with the injection sites.

The side effects are seriously no joke. I had a friend experience very intense nausea just a few hours after treatment. It's so important to talk to the doc as soon as the symptoms get too severe. Under no circumstances should this be ignored. My friend even went through a horse pill range after consulting with her doctor, so make sure to talk to your medical providers.
