Fluorouracil is a powerful chemotherapy drug used to treat various types of cancer by interfering with the growth of cancer cells. It is available as a solution for injection, like Fluorouracil 5gm/100ml. While effective, it can cause a range of side effects due to its impact on both cancerous and healthy fast-growing cells. Some of these side effects are mild, while others can be severe and require immediate medical attention. Users should be aware of the potential risks and symptoms to watch for during treatment. This medication may also cause irritation at the injection site and has a range of side effects that can impact daily life. Despite these challenges, many patients find that the benefits of Fluorouracil treatment outweigh the side effects, especially when carefully managed by medical professionals.

I've been on Fluorouracil for a few months now. The biggest challenge for me has been the mouth sores and hair loss. My doctor recommended using a mouth rinse and a gentle shampoo to help manage these side effects. It's been a huge help, but it's still a tough time. Hang in there everyone, it gets better.

This thread is so informative. I wish they'd told me more about the side effects before I started treatment. Extra sleepiness and changes in vision were really tough to deal with initially. But the good news is now that I know what to expect, I can plan better and take it easier on myself on those days.

I was surprised to see how many people are experiencing the same side effects that I've been dealing with. I know it's tough, but we're all in this together. Remember, it's important to stay positive and communicate openly with your healthcare team.

This drug can be tough, but it's really effective for treating certain types of cancer. My oncologist explained that the side effects are a result of how the drug works—it targets fast-growing cells, whether they're cancerous or not. It's important to stay hydrated and take breaks when needed. But if you do have side effects that are impacting your daily life, definitely talk to your doctor. They can help you manage them better.

I wish that I had some good news to help, but hang in there folks. The side effects are tough, but just remember that we have to focus on the end goal: beating cancer! Getting through these side effects means we're fighting the battle against cancer.

Make sure to call the doctor ASAP if you notice any signs of an allergic reaction. I had a friend who didn't and ended up in the ER. Not worth the risk!

I've had some nerve issues, including tingling in my hands. I was a bit worried, but my doctor assured me it's a known side effect. Resting and using some hand exercises has helped a lot. Anyone else dealing with this?
