I've recently been prescribed Fluphenazine 5mg/ml Concentrate for schizophrenia. I've been taking it for a few weeks and have had some success but also some side effects. How has it worked for others? My doctor didn't mention much about the liquid form. What's the best way to measure and dilute it? Has anyone else experienced a lot of drowsiness? It's been a challenge to stay focused in the day. Also, worried about any long-term effects, does anyone have any knowledge on that front?

Ask your psychiatrist about switching to the pill form. It might be easier to manage, but the liquid is more precise for dosing.
I think Fluphenazine is overrated. I had to switch to something else because the side effects were just too much. But everyone's different, so maybe it'll work for you.
Drowsiness is a common side effect. Talk to your doctor about adjusting the dosage or timing. It might help to take it at night if you're feeling too sleepy during the day.
I had some serious constipation issues that were really scary. But again, everyone's different! Good luck!
I had a really bad reaction to this stuff. Ended up with some crazy nightmares and couldn't sleep. I think my doc didn't tell me about the side effects...
My doc said the long-term effects are generally minimal if you stay within the recommended dosage. But definitely keep an eye on any changes and report them.
Watch out for the tremors and changes in balance. It can be a little scary at first, but it usually levels out over time.
I've been on this for about a year and it's been okay, but I've noticed some weight gain and dry mouth. Good luck with it!
