I've read the label and know to contact my doctor if I experience severe side effects, but how do other people handle the milder side effects like dizziness and headaches? Fluazepam has been a big help, I'm sleeping, but I can't shake this morning grogginess. Any tips for feeling more alert during the day? Flurazepam helped a lot but the drowsiness the next day was the worst. I took it when I really needed a full night’s sleep (like before an important work day) but I think it can be really easy to get dependent on it. I used to get sleepy driving, but my doctor helped me slowly get off it and I've been fine since.

I had a really bad experience with Flurazepam. It made me feel so out of it the next day that I couldn't function. Plus, I had some really weird dreams that felt more like hallucinations. I switched to melatonin, and it's been much better for me.

I stopped taking Flurazepam after a few months, and the withdrawal was rough. I had insomnia and anxiety the whole time I was coming off of it. I didn't know it would be so hard to stop. I've been trying the do a few nights a week and skipping some, but it's not working. I don't know what to do now.

I never took Flurazepam but my doctor told me it's not a good long-term solution - but I needed it so bad that I didn't care. I've heard there are other sleep aids that are better for long-term use.

I've been on Flurazepam for a while now, and I've had mixed results. At first, it helped me sleep great, but over time, I've had to increase my dose to get the same effect. I'm worried about becoming dependent on it. My doctor is slowly tapering me off, and I’m hoping to find a better long-term solution. For now, I’m trying to stick to the regimen my doctor gave me to try and minimize withdrawal effects.

I had a tough time coming off Flurazepam. I can't believe that something designed to help you sleep can make you feel so terrible. I managed to gradually reduce my dose with my doctor's help, and it was a slow process but not as bad as you would think. I'm glad I stuck with it and got off the meds eventually.
