Hey all, I recently started using Fluticasone 50mcg Diskus (60 Inh) to manage my asthma. I've been using it regularly, but I've noticed some side effects that I'm not sure about. The package insert is a bit overwhelming. Has anyone else experienced any unexpected side effects? I've been reading about the potential for allergic reactions and wonder if anyone has had to stop taking it due to these. I've also heard about the risks of a weak adrenal gland and Cushing's syndrome. Anyone have experience with these? I would appreciate any advice or shared experiences!

I've never had any issues with Fluticasone, but I did have a friend who had some pretty bad side effects. She switched to a different inhaler and hasn't had any problems since. It's definitely worth talking to your doctor if you're experiencing any issues.

This is interesting. I use it too. The only thing I’ve noticed is a bit of a headache but nothing too bad. I'll have to keep an eye out for the more serious side effects you mentioned.

Seriously though, the idea of a weak adrenal gland or Cushing's syndrome is terrifying. I'm glad to know these side effects are rare but still something to be aware of. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Really? I haven't had any major issues. Just some occasional hoarseness, but nothing too bad. Be glad you didn't have to deal with the rescue inhaler. It sounds like you need to keep an eye on any weird symptoms.

I'm currently on Fluticasone, and I've had some issues with a sore throat and headaches. I'm trying to stick with it as my doctor says it's really helping manage my asthma, but it's tough. I’m curious about other people's experiences with long-term use.

I've had some pretty bad side effects from Fluticasone, particularly with my mouth and throat. I developed some white patches, and my voice sounded different. It was really alarming, but my doctor said it was common and gave me some tips to manage it. I wish I had known more about these side effects before I started.
