I recently started taking Folic Acid 800mcg tablets as recommended by my doctor. I'm trying to get pregnant and I know it's crucial for preventive measures. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially regarding any side effects or benefits you've noticed. I've read that it can help prevent serious birth defects, but I'm curious about other potential benefits and any downsides. Additionally, I've noticed that some people might experience side effects like rash or hives. I'm wondering how common these are and if there are any ways to mitigate them.

I'm glad you're taking Folic Acid. Make sure to continue taking it throughout your pregnancy, though, as your body needs it for the entire development of your baby. Some studies show it helps with cognitive development as well.

I had a friend who had a severe allergic reaction to Folic Acid. It's rare but possible. Always be cautious and have your doctor on speed dial.

What if you miss a dose? Is it okay to double up the next day?

I took it for a while to help with my anemia and it really helped. Definitely worth considering if you have similar issues.

I took Folic Acid during both my pregnancies and it was a lifesaver. No side effects and it really put my mind at ease knowing I was doing something proactive for my baby's health. Plus, it's not just for pregnancy—it's awesome for overall health too!

Folic Acid is so important, especially in the early stages of pregnancy. I wish I had known more about it when I was younger.

I had some mild side effects like nausea and a bit of a stomach upset, but nothing too bad. It was worth it for the peace of mind knowing my baby was getting the nutrients they needed.
