Cytotec 100mcg tablets (Misoprostol) are prescribed to protect the stomach lining from damage caused by NSAIDs, which can lead to ulcers. If you've taken this medication, I'd love to hear about your experience. Did it cause any side effects? How did it affect you, and did your doctor monitor you closely? How did you manage any side effects, especially diarrhea or stomach pain? I'm curious to know if anyone found the benefits outweighed the discomfort. Also, if you have any tips or warnings for others considering this medication, please share!

Worth noting that one should avoid alcohol while taking Cytotec. It can worsen stomach issues.

Has anyone tried alternative methods to protect their stomach lining? Like diet changes or other supplements?

So, this is a temporary fix, right? Once you stop taking NSAIDs you can stop taking Cytotec too?

I'm glad to know others have experienced similar issues. It makes me feel less alone in this. Just wish the diarrhea part wasn't so bad.

I've been on Cytotec for a few months now due to my arthritis meds causing stomach issues. The side effects were manageable, it was just a bit of diarrhea on occasion and mild cramps. My doctor monitored me closely. I recommend taking it with food and staying hydrated.

Cytotec saved my stomach during a period of heavy NSAID use. But yes, the diarrhea was a bummer. Definitely take it with food and maybe a probiotic to help with the gut issues.

I had a pretty bad experience with Cytotec. The diarrhea was severe and I ended up in the ER. Turns out I was allergic to it. Doctors switched me to a different protective medication and everything's been fine since then. Allergic reactions are rare but they can happen. So, pay attention to your body if you start experiencing unusual symptoms.
